Here are some of the reasons to transfer to fostering at Stoke-on-Trent City Council:

• You will have a dedicated social worker to support you through every step of the process
• You will have your own ‘buddy’- an experienced foster carer
• Our training and support groups take place in Stoke-on-Trent, meaning you won’t have far to travel to attend a session. Virtual training is also available
• We have a support group for birth children called ‘Kidz of Carerz’ who meet up about six times a year and do various outdoor activities and provide a safe place to talk
• Stoke-on-Trent City Council does not make any profit from fostering, whereas some private fostering agencies are businesses that maximise return on investment for their shareholders
